Cat Clinic of Destin Cat Wellness

Cat Clinic of Destin is proud to offer a wide variety of services to make sure your kitten’s health is the best it can be.

Nutrition

Obesity is a common problem among cats, as it can be easy to over-feed a cat that knows how to beg. A cat’s nutritional needs can also change as they enter different stages of their lives. The best way to make sure your cat’s needs are being met is to consult with us about a diet made specifically for them and their lifestyle. Please contact us if you have any questions about your cat’s diet or would like more information about your cat’s nutritional needs. We can set up a nutrition plan for your cat. We would love to speak with you.

Wellness Exams

At The Cat Clinic of Destin in Destin, FL, we believe that regular checkups and wellness exams are critical to your cat’s well-being. These wellness exams give us a chance to evaluate the overall health of your pet while also giving us a baseline for their own unique bodies and tendencies.

Not only do these exams keep us up-to-date with your cat’s health, they also allow us to detect potential problems before they become serious. Your cat will be thoroughly examined by a veterinarian and this checkup gives us vital information to help keep your cat healthy.

Regular wellness exams also make your cat more familiar with our veterinary hospital, which makes future visits easier for them and you. Please contact us today if you have any questions or would like to learn more about how we care for your cat.

Kitten Care

Congratulations! Adding a new kitten to your family is an exciting event with many fulfilling years of special companionship ahead of you. Kittens come with a lot of responsibility and that’s why we at The Cat Clinic of Destin are here to help you care for the new addition to your family.

It’s important to bring your kitten in for a full nose-to-tail exam and to get them familiar with our veterinary hospital from a young age. There are numerous topics to be aware of and discuss, including vaccinations, nutrition, behavioral training, socialization, and many more. Contact us today and we can give you all the information you need to care for your kitten.

We are so happy that you have found another member of your family, and we are excited to meet them! We’ve also included links to helpful videos for first-time kitten owners!

Vaccinations & Parasite Prevention

Not every cat needs all available vaccinations. At the Cat Clinic of Destin, we modify each cats’ vaccination to their lifestyle, in accordance with the guidelines of the American Association of Feline Practitioners.

We also emphasize the importance of preventing parasites. Through preventative measures, you can successfully protect your cat. But cats that are not protected often develop parasites, leading to serious problems for them and their owners.

The cost of prevention is minimal compared to the cost of treatment, which can be expensive and stressful for your cat. Parasites like heartworm can even be fatal, so preventing parasites is of the utmost importance. Please don’t hesitate to contact us to learn more about either of these issues!

Pain Management
Pain is a terrible thing. The Cat Clinic of Destin wants to alleviate as much pain and discomfort in our patients as possible. In an effort to bring you the highest quality care, we are dedicated to providing top-notch pain management.

When our cats are in pain, so are we. It’s an awful feeling to know that your special friend is hurting, especially when there isn’t anything you can do to help them. It is our goal to eliminate as much pain as possible, and to give these cats a better quality of life.

We also anticipate and plan for procedures with the potential for future pain. In addition, we also work with pet owners to educate them on how to recognize signs of pain in your cat.

Behavioral Medicine

We offer solutions for a variety of behavioral issues that cat owners are faced with. Behavioral problems can be challenging and frustrating for both cats and cat owners, so it is our goal to work with you towards a solution.

There are many behaviors that can be negative or destructive, and many cat owners feel helpless in bringing peace to their home. We want you to know that we are here to help, and those undesirable behaviors can be corrected.
